Cookie Policy
Essential storage supports security and tool sessions. Optional analytics is a separate choice, not a condition of using the tools.

1. Cookies and browser storage
Cookies are small values stored in the browser and returned with requests to the relevant domain. Local storage and session storage hold browser data without automatically attaching it to requests. The purpose matters regardless of the mechanism used.
2. Essential and functional storage
| Storage | Purpose | Lifetime and control |
|---|---|---|
| Session cookie, normally sessionid | Maintains sessions, room state and authorised mobile web access. | Expires according to server session settings. Clearing it can end a session. |
| CSRF cookie, normally csrftoken | Protects form submissions against cross-site request forgery. | Expires according to server settings or browser clearing. Blocking it can prevent form submissions. |
| adretoolsConsentV1, local storage | Records your analytics choice, date and notice version. | A new choice is requested after 180 days or a relevant version change. Clearing site data removes the saved choice. |
| scrollpos_ entries, session storage | Restores position when returning to a page. | Normally lasts for the tab session; removable through browser controls. |
| AdreWorkspaceDB, IndexedDB | Stores files you keep in Smart Workspace for use between supported tools. | Can persist after closing the browser. Remove entries in the workspace or clear site data. |
| Room synchronisation and workflow state | Supports joining or leaving rooms across tabs and tool interfaces. | Depends on the interface and browser session. Clearing storage can reset tool or room state. |
3. Optional measurement and advertising
Google Analytics loads only after you choose Allow analytics. Before choosing, or after Reject analytics, this controller does not load the measurement script. It does not replace a choice with a silent measurement ping.
If enabled, Analytics receives usage events and technical information. It may set _ga and measurement-specific _ga_* cookies. Their lifetime depends on Google's implementation and measurement configuration. Read Google's cookie explanation and Privacy Policy.
Allowing analytics does not enable advertising. Automatic advertising is inactive in this version. Before advertising is activated, separate disclosures and appropriate consent controls are required, including a Google-certified platform where Google's advertising requirements apply.
4. Change or withdraw your choice
The same control is in the website footer. Rejecting analytics disables this site's measurement permission and reloads the page to stop loaded measurement code. The controller also attempts to remove known first-party Analytics cookies; browser and domain rules can affect removal.
Browser settings can show, block and remove cookies and site data. Clearing data also removes the choice, so you will be asked again. Blocking all storage can disable sessions or form protection. A preference in one device or browser does not automatically apply to another.
If local storage is unavailable, the choice lasts for the current page only; navigation can ask again. Analytics is not silently enabled.
5. External resources and enquiries
Styles, fonts and libraries may load from external content-delivery services. Those requests can disclose connection information independently of Analytics. A cookie preference does not disconnect every third-party resource. See our Privacy Policy for more detail.
