AdreTools / Service information
Privacy Policy
This notice covers adretools.com and Adre PDF features that connect to this service. It distinguishes local document work from information sent to a server.

1. Service and privacy contact
AdreTools operates this website and the associated online PDF tools used by Adre PDF. Contact the service operator about personal information or this notice at ademrecber88@gmail.com. External websites, services reached through links, and files after you download them are subject to their own handling and your device settings.
2. Documents and processing location
Browser-processed workflows handle selected document bytes on your device rather than submitting them to our PDF processing endpoints. Server-processed workflows receive the source document and options needed to produce the result. Encryption and decryption also send the password you enter.
| PDF operation | Processing | What happens to your document |
|---|---|---|
| Merge, Multi Merge, Folder Merge | Your browser | Document bytes are combined on your device rather than uploaded to the PDF processing service. |
| Split, Multi Split, Interval Split | Your browser | Page selection and extraction run on your device. Large documents still require device memory and time. |
| Edit, Rotate, Watermark, Resize | Your browser | The current PDF workflows modify or render the document on your device. |
| Image to PDF | Your browser | Selected images are assembled locally. Importing an image from a URL also requests it from its host. |
| Compress | Your browser | The web compressor processes the PDF on your device without uploading. |
| PDF to Word, PDF to Excel, Word to PDF | AdreTools server | The source file is uploaded for conversion. Current PDF to Word and PDF to Excel implementations process up to the first five pages. |
| Encrypt, Decrypt | AdreTools server | The PDF and password you enter are sent for the requested operation. |
| Sign, Verify | AdreTools server | The PDF is uploaded for signing or signature analysis. Signing uses the AdreTools service certificate, not your personal qualified signing credential. |
This describes current PDF workflows, not every website tool. Loading a browser tool still makes normal website and library requests. Local document processing does not mean the page is offline or makes no network requests.
Server operations can hold data in memory and create temporary files while processing a request. They are not a personal cloud document library. Do not upload material you are not authorised to share, or use an upload workflow if the document must remain exclusively on your device.
Adre PDF uses the file access you grant to discover and open your PDF library. Library metadata, bookmarks and downloaded results are device data. Selecting a document for a server tool transfers that document; granting general file access does not select every file for upload. Device copies remain until you remove them or relevant app storage is cleared. The current Android release excludes private app data from automatic cloud backup and device-transfer backup. Keep your own copies before uninstalling the app or clearing its storage.
3. Other information received
- Requests: your IP address, requested resource, request time and browser or device headers are available to the hosting infrastructure. Security and error logs may record request details.
- Contact: the form sends your name, email, subject and message by email. Captcha data checks that the submission is legitimate.
- Other online tools: server-based tasks receive the text, link, domain, address or other input necessary for the task. Do not assume all non-PDF tools run locally.
- SecureRoom: membership, nicknames, messages and shared files pass through the server and can be available to room participants. Room access codes are not a guarantee of end-to-end encryption. Participants can retain copies.
- Storage: cookies and browser storage support security, sessions, interface state and your analytics choice. See the Cookie Policy.
- Optional analytics: after website opt-in, Google Analytics receives usage events and technical information. We do not describe this data as entirely anonymous.
4. Why information is processed
Task inputs allow us to perform your requested operation. Contact information allows us to answer an enquiry. Technical information supports page delivery, sessions, failure investigation and abuse prevention. Separately selected analytics helps us understand website use.
Where applicable law requires a legal basis, processing may rely on providing the requested service, legitimate interests in proportionate security and maintenance, consent for optional analytics, or a legal obligation. Analytics is not a condition of using the tools. A tool submission is not blanket permission to use the document for unrelated purposes.
5. Recipients and external services
Hosting and email infrastructure process information needed to operate the service and deliver enquiries. The contact form uses Gmail SMTP, so submitted enquiries pass through the configured Google email service. Third-party hosts including jsDelivr, cdnjs, unpkg, Google Fonts and Cloudflare (captcha resources) deliver libraries, styles or fonts and receive the connection information needed for delivery. Fetching a library does not itself upload the selected PDF to that provider.
Google Analytics is optional. Accepting analytics does not activate advertising scripts. Advertising requires a separate appropriate consent integration before activation. Read Google's Privacy Policy for its handling of information.
An external image URL or link connects to its destination provider. Hosting, email and external providers may process information outside your country. We do not represent that all data stays in a particular jurisdiction.
6. Storage and retention
Local workflows keep working data on your device. Closing a page releases its working state, but does not delete saved files, browser caches or data retained by your operating system. Smart Workspace saves files in the browser database AdreWorkspaceDB (IndexedDB); these can remain after you close the browser. Use the workspace removal controls or clear site data to remove those stored copies.
Server PDF processing uses request data and, in some operations, temporary files. Conversion routines clean their request-owned temporary directories on completion and on handled failures. Encryption and decryption use temporary handles that are closed after the operation, including error paths. An abrupt service interruption, operating-system failure, hosting backups or cleanup failure can still leave residual copies. We do not promise immediate deletion, a universal fixed deadline or zero residual copies. Ask support for clarification before uploading sensitive material.
Contact messages remain in the receiving email service for handling and follow-up. Hosting logs, security records and provider backups have separate operational retention. A single verified duration has not been established for all these systems; request specific information or deletion through the privacy contact. Legal obligations or disputes can require further retention.
SecureRoom keeps active room data in server memory rather than as a permanent document repository. The configured room lifetime is 24 hours, with expiration checked by the service. Restart or creator deletion can end a room sooner. These events do not remove copies downloaded by participants.
7. Your choices and privacy requests
- Use local processing when you do not want to upload document content.
- Accept or reject optional analytics; reopen to change the choice.
- Revoke device file access in Android settings. This can limit PDF discovery and access.
- Request access, correction, deletion, restriction or portability where applicable. You may also object to processing based on legitimate interests, withdraw consent, and complain to a competent data-protection authority.
Email enough information to identify the relevant enquiry or operation. We may request proportionate verification to protect other people's information. Do not attach unrelated identity documents or sensitive PDFs. Applicable law determines rights, response deadlines and exceptions.
8. Children, security and changes
The service is not designed specifically for children. Do not submit a child's personal information without appropriate authority. Contact us if you believe such information was supplied improperly.
Session controls, request validation and access restrictions reduce risk, but no service guarantees absolute security. Protect your device, email and room codes and keep backups. We update this notice when relevant practices change; the review date identifies this version.
